Additional mineral exploration geochemical algorithm development work has been conducted by DIR for Carlin-type gold deposits, Cripple Creek type Au-Te mineralization, and for low-sulfidation Au-Ag vein deposits. Reports on the algorithm development for these three deposit types are not publicly available.
The last paper provided below discusses a mineralogically-based algorithm. This algorithm was also developed as a means for improving the mineral exploration success rate. Although the method was derived from mineralogical data obtained from the Japanese Hishikari mining district, the technique has been successfully tested in Arizona’s Oatman mining district.
