Additional mineral exploration geochemical algorithm development work has been conducted by DIR for Carlin-type gold deposits and for low-sulfidation Au-Ag vein deposits. Reports  on the algorithm development for these two deposit types are not publicly available.

Note that the algorithm for Cripple Creek-type gold deposits predicts both telluride- and sulfide-associated gold mineralization, so can exhibit some orebody type classification error.

The last paper provided below discusses a mineralogically-based algorithm.  This algorithm was also developed as a means for improving the mineral exploration success rate.  Although the method was derived from mineralogical data obtained from the Japanese Hishikari mining district, the technique has been successfully tested in Arizona’s Oatman mining district.
